Oklahoma Baptist Seventh at First NAIA Tourney
Oklahoma Baptist concluded its first appearance at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships with a seventh-place finish.
OBU struggled to its worst round of the tournament at 338 to fall from sixth and behind Berry College.
Lady Bison freshman Maggie Cole shot an 84 on the final round to finish in a tie for 16th at 323. OBU freshman Ellen Zaske's 83 put her alone in 44th at 335.
Jennifer Mann and Michelle Hunter finished tied for 47th at 337 with three other players. Mann shot an 82 and Hunter an 89 on the final round.
Amber McMurry's 96 landed her in 97th place at 368.
Oklahoma City won the team title by 49 strokes over the University of British Columbia, followed by Embry-Riddle, Rocky Mountain and Southern Nazarene in a three-way tie for third. OBU was 106 strokes behind OCU.
