Who are Women of Vision?

Women of Vision is a group of women who combine their shared resources, making a lasting impact on the OBU campus and community. Women of Vision is for all who love OBU, including alumnae, family, and friends of the University!

During The Weekend, Women of Vision hosts its annual event where new friendships are created, old friendships revisited, and new women welcomed. During this time, we vote on a significant campus project that benefits our students, and present our annual WOV scholarship to a deserving student.

What do we do?

Women of Vision members serve on campus throughout the year during various events, including Welcome Week and The Weekend.

We also pool our resources for proposed projects from throughout campus. During our annual gathering at The Weekend in October, we select a project to fund for the upcoming year. Since 2015, Women of Vision has raised nearly $500,000 and impacted eight key areas on Bison Hill.

Women of Vision Projects Recap

Past WoV Projects

Do I have to be at the Annual event to be a member and vote?
No! You can have as little or as much involvement as you need. We welcome those who can’t make it but want to make a difference on campus and you will be given an absentee ballot to vote on your favorite project!

What happens the rest of the year? Through WOV, members connect at various social events during the school year and form lasting friendships with each other.

Women of Vision have the opportunity to serve our students and staff through many campus activities and events. It is a highlight to engage with students and with one another, building friendships and celebrating the Bison spirit together!

Why join Women of Vision?

We love OBU and want to take care of the campus that is so dear to all of us. We enjoy our connections with each other and the students of OBU, offering help at different events such as Welcome Week and Founder’s Day. We will also enjoy social events such as WOV Night at an OBU volleyball game. As Women of Vision, you will have a front row seat to all the exciting things happening on Bison Hill.

Once a member, you are always a Woman of Vision. We collect donations from January–December of each year so that we can pool our resources and complete a project on campus the next spring. Join now so we can make a maximum impact!
