From the moment you step foot on Bison Hill, you will find that there is something special. Students, faculty and staff alike share the Bison spirit which promotes community, Christian principles, and a sense of belonging.
Those who visit campus soon discover that the atmosphre is friendly, inviting and supportive. Our campus culture is one that offers many avenues to excel in academics, but also to grow through a variety of social and leadership activities.
We offer more than 60 student organizations, 30 intramural sports and 13 club sports. Our NCAA Division II varsity athletic program, offering 21 sports, has won 34 National Championships in the NAIA and NCAA.
Students have many opportunities for engagement with the Shawnee community and outlying region. OBU prioritizes offering community service to agencies, organizations and churches in the area. Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus and share the light of the gospel to others.
OBU's 59,500 square foot Recreation and Wellness Center is a full service fitness center featuring a host of activities that promote recreation, exercise, competition, wellness and fun.
