Lady Bison Holding Strong at Sixth

Oklahoma Baptist University's Lady Bison golf team matched their second round 330 in the rain-delayed third round and stayed in sixth place in the NAIA Women's Golf Championship in South Bend, Ind., Thursday.
Ellen Zaske, Jennifer Mann and Maggie Cole all shot 82 in the third round, Michelle Hunter had an 84 and Amber McMurry an 89.
Cole's 82 dropped her down to 10th place and 17 strokes off the pace of Oklahoma City's Emily Albrektson. Cole, a freshman, has a three-round total of 239.
Hunter dipped back to 32nd at 248. Zaske moved into 48th at 252, Mann jumped to 56th at 255 and McMurry advanced to 93rd at 272.
Oklahoma City maintained and British Columbia shot matching 306s to tie for the best team round and the Stars (930) now lead second place UBC by 18 strokes. Embry-Riddle (963) moved up to third and Southern Nazarene slid to fourth (962). Rocky Mountain College is 19 strokes ahead of OBU's 994.
Friday's final round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
This is OBU's first trip to the women's national tournament.
