Welcome Week 2024 is in the Books!
This year, we enjoyed an outstanding week of welcoming our new students to campus. This is one of OBU's all-time favorite traditions. Below is a glimpse of what took place and what makes it one of the most energetic, memorable and exciting weeks of the year.

Saturday, August 17—Move-in Day!
- 8 a.m.: Residential Halls Open
- 9 a.m.: Student Service Fair—Lower GC (Geiger Center)
- 2 p.m.: Parent’s Orientation—RAWC (Recreation and Wellness Center)
- 2 p.m.: New Students meet Family Groups—South Raley Lawn
- 3:30 p.m.: Family and Friends’ Send Off—RAWC (Recreation and Wellness Center)
- 4 p.m.: New Student Orientation—RAWC (Recreation and Wellness Center)
- 5:30 p.m.: Small Group Picnic—Geiger Center West Lawn
- 8 p.m.: Residence Hall Meetings—Res Halls
- 8:30 p.m.: "First Night" Events—Geiger Center and surrounding areas
Sunday, August 18
- 10:30 a.m.: OBU Sunday Morning Gathering—RAWC
- 3 p.m.: Sunday Afternoon Hangs—The Oval
- 7:30 p.m.: The President’s Vision—Geiger Center West Lawn
- 8:30 p.m.: Free Bowling and Fun—Firelake Bowl
Monday, August 19
- 8 a.m.: Serve Shawnee—RAWC
- 2 p.m.: Academic Life and Tech on Bison Hill—RAWC
- 2:30 p.m.: Academic Meetings—Various Locations
- 7:30 p.m.: Ka-Rip Wars—The Oval
- 9 p.m.: Late Night Movie—Geiger Center West Lawn
Tuesday, August 20
- 8:30 a.m.: Color Group Time—Various Locations
- 2:30 p.m.: Un Cuerpo (Club Fair)—RAWC
- 7:30 p.m.: The Walk—The Oval and Raley Steps
- 8:15 p.m.: Unity Gathering—Geiger Center East Lawn
- 9 p.m.: Popsicles with the Pres—Cargill Lawn
