Move-in Day Traffic Information
Welcome Week at OBU is a favored tradition on campus that kicks off the new school year and welcomes our new class of students. What awaits them are exciting activities and events that showcase OBU traditions, our storied history and the many ways to get involved as they start their journey on Bison Hill. This page is an example of arrival information for incoming students.
For New Students/Transfer Students moving in:
- If you are moving in early to housing for athletics, please dismiss the arrival information and follow the instructions from your coach and Housing.
- Arrive as close as possible to your registered move-in time.
- Book your Move-In Time!
- Label all your belongings (boxes, containers, larger items) with your residence hall and room number. You will have help moving your belongings into your housing.
- We ask that all new students moving on campus to enter on W. MacArthur St. via Highway 177—do not arrive from Kickapoo St. If you are arriving to Shawnee from I-40, this will be exit 181, south on Highway 177, and then left onto W. MacArthur St.
Residence Hall-specific Information
WMU and Kerr
Turn right onto Airport Road from W. MacArthur St. Take the first left on University St. During Move-in Day, this street will be one-way.
- Women moving into Kerr—stay in the left lane
- Women moving into WMU—stay in the right lane
Agee
Take a right at the next light after Raley Dr. (the third stop light on W. MacArthur.) Employees will guide you through the parking lot toward Agee, where you will pull up on the north side for check-in.
Lodge and Village Men
Check in at the Lodge. From Highway 177 to W. MacArthur St., turn left on Raley Drive. You will be directed to pull around the back parking lots and loop back to the front of the building for check-in.
Taylor and Village Women
Check in at Taylor. Turn left on Raley Drive from W. MacArthur St. and turn right to Taylor. Enter the lobby at the front of the building for check-in.
