Spring Break
NYC
Team of 20-25 students. March 14–20.
Develop a vision for reaching the nations by making a global impact through urban gateways. NYC is the most ethnically diverse city in the world. Students will work with the Let My People Go Experience, which allows students to fight for those most vulnerable to human trafficking. There will be several focus areas in which students can choose to participate, including at-risk youth, the homeless, and more.
Summer
Brazil
Team of 4-6 students. Late May.
Partner with local churches in Brazil to serve through student ministry, English language camps, prayer walking, and a variety of outreach opportunities. Depending on the team’s makeup, ministry may include leading Bible studies, assisting with youth programs, and supporting community-based initiatives. Cultural experiences will include exploring local markets, visiting historic neighborhoods, enjoying Brazilian arts, music, & cuisine, and experiencing some of the country's natural wonders.
Ecuador
Team of 4-8 students. May/June.
Spend three weeks working in the beautiful country of Ecuador. Service projects will includee gardening, painting, cleaning, etc. along with ministry opportunities like VBS and house visits. Visiting local people groups in a mountain town and/or a jungle village is also possible! A night or two of youth/college ministry will be on the schedule. Cultural experiences will include the historic Basilica, downtown Quito, the Equator (middle of the world!), and artisan markets.
Egypt
Team of 10-12 students. Mid/Late May.
The GO team will serve with several organizations. Begin your time with relational EV and cultural exchanges. This team will also support WellSpring by serving at a children's camp for children which are designed to encourage campers to interact with a Christian influence. The team will also engage in refugee outreach to the local Sudanese population. Cultural experiences include visiting places like the Great Pyramids, The Red Sea, old churches, and a boat tour on the Nile.
France
Team of 4-6 students. June/July.
Thousands of refugees from North Africa who've found a home in Europe travel home on holiday every year. Be part of a team who will engage these travelers with the Good News, the Word, packets of info and more in a port city on the coast. This trip requires those who are committed to spiritual maturity and reaching out daily to share. Be an integral part of what it means to send the Good News to places who have never heard! Cultural experiences will include beach scenes, historic churches, a national park, and local market shopping.
Greece
Team of 6-8 students. May or June.
As tens of thousands seek a new future in Europe, will you give some time to bring hope and healing to transient, vulnerable refugees? This team will work with refugee communities in Athens as well as serve for a week of camp on the shores of the Aegean Sea. The camp will host Farsi-speaking refugees, so the team will provide essential services like cleaning, cooking, set-up and tear-down, while also having some opportunities for relational interaction with the campers. Cultural experiences will include following the journeys of Paul at The Acropolis & Old Corinth, artisan markets, seascapes, and train rides!
South Asia
Team of 8 nursing students. June or July.
Join nursing faculty to teach valuable skills in an educational setting. Topics to be taught/demonstrated could be First Aid, wound care, women's health, simulation settings, and more. You will also participate in cultural exchanges with local students, help with faculty development & worshops, while also learning about health care in other countries. Cultural experiences could include local cuisine, cityscapes, the Taj Mahal, rickshaw rides and local markets.
Kazakhstan
Team of 4-6 students. Mid/Late May.
Take part in a Leadership Exchange program with the goal of developing servant leadership potential in students through community-building activities, serving opportunities, exposure to practical examples of leadership, and reflection and discussion on activities in a cross-cultural environment. You will visit local partners to provide a number of outreach opportunities. Cultural experiences include hiking, cityscapes, mountains, and markets.
Malawi
Team of 4-6 students. May.
This team will primarily focus on engaging college students on campuses. Simple things like playing Uno can open up numerous opportunities for EV & Discipleship. Scheduled activities including English classes, & cultural exchanges. Worship nights will also be on the docket. Cultural experiences include campus activities, local game preserves, vendor markets, and an excursion to Lake Malawi – one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world!
Mozambique
Team of 8-10 students. May.
Work with a small church on the coast as they reach out to their neighbors in spreading the Good News through a variety of outreach options. This team will cover a host of ministry including women, children, and some pastoral speaking, depending on the team makeup. The trip will finish in Pretoria, South Africa engaging in some work with Somalian Refugees. Cultural experiences include the Uembje Lagoon & Indian Ocean, game drives, historical landmarks, and local artisan markets.
South Asia Islands
Team of 4-6 students. May.
This team will help take the Good News to islands that have never heard before. Using snorkeling, diving, sports, coffee, cooking, etc... relationships are key. You will use relational EV to reach the people. Grab a coffee, go play sports, be with the people and share. You will be out among the 200 habitable islands where people have never heard. Catch a boat and help us map out the islands. Cultural experiences include local foods, beaches, snorkeling, diving, & hiking.
The Himalayas
Team of 8 students. Mid May.
This team's primary focus is reaching Himalayan Buddhist People. Team members must be extremely fit, relational, self-motivated, EV and prayer-minded, and able to share the truth and disciple those who already know. Trekking to remote villages is a big part of this trip and therefore applicants MUST be extremely physically fit or willing to get extremely fit to participate in this trip. Cultural experiences include hiking the Himalayas, exploring local temples, and artisan markets.
Nigeria
Team of 6-8 students. June/July.
Travel to Jos, Nigeria, the hub of Christianity in Nigeria. Minister to widows, lead a VBS for orphans and help start a coffee shop for future ministry efforts. Some time will be spent serving with a deaf ministry, prayer walking a university campus, while also partnering with a group to host a large youth conference. A Pastor’s Conference will also be on the schedule. Cultural experiences include hiking, local foods, and cityscapes.
Senegal
Team of 4-6 students. June/July.
Go to the 1040 Window and serve in a country that has deep spiritual need. Help host community outreach at an English Library and Coffee Shop, worship and serve alongside local churches and lead children’s activities, while also engaging in house visits, EV and prayerwalking. This location also offers the unique opportunity to assist with basic veterinarian care and some deaf ministry as well. Cultural experiences include game drives, historical landmarks, beach scenes, and local artisan markets.
South Africa
Team of 8-10 students. Late June/Early July.
Partner with a local orphanage/foster care homes in Johannesburg to invest in the lives of babies & children. Conduct VBS, take Day Excursions, and possibly help run a camp for the kids. One week will also be spent in Port Elizabeth running sports camps/VBS and engaging in EV & Discipleship. Cultural experiences include game drives, historical landmarks, the Apartheid Museum & Nelson Mandela’s house along with local artisan markets.
Switzerland & Germany
Team of 12-14 students. Late July.
Begin in Germany by working with the youth of a local church, then travel to Lenk, Switzerland by train to provide leadership, encouragement, and discipleship at a youth camp called Euroventure. The camp serves expat families from all over Europe, as well as English speaking churches from Europe and the Middle East. Team members will serve as small group leaders, spiritual mentors, recreation coordinators, and possibly worship leaders. D-Now and Super Summer experience is a plus. Cultural experiences include hiking, alpine coasters, local castles, and more.
Thailand
Team of 12-14 students. July.
This trip will be a unique mix of hands-on learning, cultural experience, and ministry outreach. All students are welcome to join, but there is a specific need for those interested in special education and elementary education, disability ministry, physical therapy and occupational therapy. There are opportunities to teach for a week at a children's home, build a sensory room, and help with a wheelchair distribution. It is an action-packed experience in the beautiful city of Chiang Mai, surrounded by mountains. Cultural experiences include night markets, a day learning about elephants, hikes, waterfalls, and city views.
Vietnam
Team of 4-6 students. July.
Travel to Asia for a unique experience where you can lead English conversations, do EV in local coffee shops, serve through painting & repair projects, connect with university students, assist K–12 teachers, and visit schools for individuals with disabilities. You’ll build meaningful relationships with seekers and believers through small groups and day trips, worship with local churches, and walk alongside global leaders—in the heart of a region where 90% of the world’s unengaged live. Cultural experiences include artisan markets, local cuisine, and a canoe/boat trip to the Mekong Delta!
Zambia
Team of 4-6 students. May-June.
This team will work with field partners to provide training for local leaders in areas of Evangelism and Discipleship as wells as ministry to Congolese refugees and local youth. This team will perform a variety of tasks. Team members should exhibit spiritual and emotional maturity, as well as have a teachable spirit and servant's heart. Cultural experiences include local sights, traditional food, and a possible trip to see Victoria Falls – a wonder of the world.
