Incoming Freshmen Scholarships
OBU automatically awards two annual scholarships to incoming freshmen based on academic achievement or demonstrated need.

Scholarships listed are applicable for students entering OBU for the first time during the 2023-24 academic year. Students must enroll full-time to qualify. Some scholarships may not be applicable for student athletes, full-tuition scholarship recipients, or students currently receiving the employee education benefit.
Art and Design Scholarships
Incoming Freshmen
Bison Art
This award is possible based on a scholarship application and portfolio review. The portfolio review can be conducted through a campus visit or online. Prospective students can also attend our newly created OBU Portfolio Review held at various times in the school year. The Bison Art grants may range from $1,000-$3,000 for exceptional scholarships. The deadline to submit work is February 10, 2024 for all of our Bison Art Grant applicants.

Upperclassmen Scholarships
Six scholarships are awarded to upper-class art and design students each year. The awards range from $500-$1,000. Recipients are selected based on financial need and progress within the program.
