National Leadership Mentor Dr. Jay Strack to Inspire OBU Community in Chapel Service Oct. 22
October 16, 2025
OBU will host Dr. Jay Strack as the featured chapel speaker on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. in the Recreation and Wellness Center.
For more than 45 years, Strack has helped students, leaders and organizations across America and the Middle East unlock their potential through relational leadership and biblical wisdom.
Strack’s leadership is acclaimed at the highest levels, from addressing the NBA All-Star Chapel at Madison Square Garden to speaking to Fortune 500 companies, NASA, and the U.S. Air Force Academy. He served in national faith initiatives under First Lady Nancy Reagan, President George W. Bush, and President Donald Trump. Author of 20 books, including The Power of One, and editor of three Bibles, Strack continues to equip individuals with the wisdom and tools they need to lead with integrity.
His journey wasn’t always one of success. Before the age of 17, he was trapped in a cycle of abuse, drug use and addiction.
Strack has said that through God’s grace, he broke free, and his story of overcoming – “There’s Always a Way”– has since inspired more than 10 million people in high schools, colleges, churches, prisons and beyond.
As the founder of Student Leadership University (SLU), he has pioneered innovative edutainment training by blending education with behind-the-scenes access to global influencers. SLU and Youth Pastors Summit (YPS) equip students and their leadership with confidence, character and a sure biblical worldview.
Whether mentoring the next generation or speaking to world leaders, Strack’s mission remains to help others rise above circumstance and challenge and step into a future of purpose.
At OBU, Strack’s appearance continues the university’s tradition of hosting national and international leaders for its chapel program, a cornerstone of campus life. The event is open to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Chapel services at OBU are designed to encourage spiritual growth and reflection, featuring speakers from ministry, education, business and public life.
