Dr. Todd Sanders to Speak in OBU Chapel Oct. 8

Dr. Todd Sanders, program director of Falls Creek Youth Camp and lecturer in student ministry at OBU, will speak during OBU’s chapel service at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 in the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Sanders has served Oklahoma Baptists since 2009, when he joined the state convention staff after two decades in local church ministry. He became Falls Creek program director in 2019, overseeing one of the largest youth camps in the nation while continuing to resource churches in disciple making, missions, leadership development and ministry training.
At OBU, Sanders teaches in the Hobbs School of Theology and Ministry, where he helps prepare students for service in churches and ministries across the state and beyond. His teaching emphasizes disciple-making and practical ministry skills.
Sanders earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Oklahoma State University and later completed a master’s degree in Christian education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in strategic leadership and Christian education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Christian leadership from NOBTS.
In addition to his work with Falls Creek, Sanders serves as collaborative lead for the Oklahoma Baptists’ youth ministry staff. His role includes training, teaching and equipping churches in Sunday school, small groups and other discipleship ministries.
Sanders has more than 30 years of experience in student and church ministry across Oklahoma.
