Costanzo to Speak During Founders’ Day Chapel Service on Feb. 12
January 23, 2025
OBU will welcome Dr. Eric Costanzo, senior pastor of South Tulsa Baptist Church and immediate past chair of the OBU Board of Trustees, on Feb. 12 to the Recreation and Wellness Center, where he will deliver the Founders’ Day chapel message at 10 a.m.
The annual event, held near the beginning of the spring semester, is a time-honored tradition that celebrates the University's incorporation in 1910 and pays tribute to the dedicated faculty and staff who have contributed to its rich 115-year history.
Along with being a pastor and author from Tulsa, Costanzo is also a proud OBU alumnus (2001) who also graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2006, Ph.D., 2011). Costanzo is also executive director for RisingVillage.org, an organization with initiatives to help marginalized people become full participants in their communities.
He is the co-author of “Inalienable” and the author of “Harbor for the Poor.” He has several bylines, media contributions and other publications.
Costanzo and his wife Rebecca (OBU class of 2003) have four children. Their oldest son, Adin, is a junior at OBU.
In his spare time, Costanzo enjoys all his children’s activities, traveling, reading and collecting antique books.
