Roberson Delivers Second Focus Week Chapel Message Feb. 9

Matt Roberson, OBU alumnus and senior pastor of TheMET Church in Houston, delivered the chapel message Feb. 9 during Focus Week. Roberson also spoke during the first chapel of the week, held Feb. 7.

Focus Week is an annual week on the OBU campus, held near the beginning of the spring semester, emphasizing discipleship and encouraging students to focus on their lives in Christ.

Roberson earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in music from OBU in 2000. He then served as a worship pastor and itinerant worship leader for the first 16 years of his ministry. He came to TheMET in January 2010 as the worship pastor, served as a campus pastor in their multi-site strategy and became senior pastor in August 2016. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 2000 and they have two children, Chloe and Claire.

Dr. Mario Melendez, Auguie Henry Chair of Old Testament and assistant professor of Old Testament and biblical studies, will deliver the final chapel message of Focus Week Friday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium.
