OBU to Host 'Bison Community Christmas' Food and Supply Drive Dec. 10
December 3, 2020
The OBU campus community is hosting a special drive-thru event Thursday, Dec. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Oval on the university’s campus in Shawnee. The “Bison Community Christmas” is seeking donations and support for multiple non-profit benevolent organizations, both on and off campus.
Those wishing to make donations are invited to come to the Oval on the OBU campus between 5 and 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. Donations will be dropped off in front of Thurmond Hall, on the northeast corner of the Oval. Those stopping by will receive a special treat from both Santa and Shaz, the university’s Bison mascot, as they are helping out with the event.
Community members are invited to drop off canned food and non-perishable food items for the Good Things Food Pantry, an on-campus ministry ending food insecurity for OBU students. Non-perishable food items may also be donated to the Salvation Army. A diaper drive is taking place for Legacy Parenting and school supplies are being collected for Mission Shawnee. Home and personal care items are also being collected for Project Safe.
Don’t miss this fun event which will help make a positive difference on Bison Hill and in the greater Shawnee community. Join the OBU family in sharing love with our neighbors this Christmas season.
