Harrison Earns Award as Outstanding Senior in Art and Design
May 13, 2020
Tori Harrsion has been named the 2019-20 Outstanding Senior in the Division of Art and Design. The Division is part of the Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts at OBU.
This award, along with awards for outstanding seniors in all Colleges and Divisions, are typically presented during a special awards chapel at the conclusion of the spring semester. With the awards chapel event not being held this year due to the University’s move to distance learning, these students are instead being recognized through an announcement through the University website and social media channels.
The award for the outstanding senior in art and design is given to the student who has exhibited not only a talent in art but an initiative in the development of that talent, while maintaining a responsible awareness of his or her talent through overall good scholarship.
Corey Fuller, Chair of the Division of Art and Design, Ruth Jay Odom Professor in Fine Arts, and assistant professor of graphic design, is thrilled to present this award to Harrison.
“I'm still not sure how you [Tori] managed to complete an honors thesis, plan a wedding, and do top-notch design work—all in the midst of a global pandemic. The spring semester of 2020 is one for the ages. Way to persevere!”
Harrison’s senior capstone art and design show is currently available to enjoy online.
