McAfee to Deliver First Spring Chapel Message Jan. 29

Michael McAfee will deliver the chapel message Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium on OBU’s campus in Shawnee. The chapel is the first of the spring 2020 semester on Bison Hill.

McAfee is the president of Inspire, a ministry that creates Christ-centered Bible experiences that deepen faith. He has served as the director of community initiatives at the Museum of the Bible since 2013. Through special events, public speaking engagements, writing and other marketing opportunities, he developed brand relationships with key groups and individuals on the Museum’s behalf.

McAfee and his wife, Lauren Green McAfee, co-authored, “Not What You Think: Why the Bible Might Be Nothing We Expected, Yet Everything We Need.”

He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently a Ph.D. student studying Christian ethics with an emphasis in public policy under Dr. Russell Moore. He is also a teaching pastor at Council Road Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
