Campus Activities Board to Host ‘Freshman Follies’ Oct. 12

October 8, 2019

OBU’s Campus Activities Board will host Freshman Follies Saturday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. The show will take place inside Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. The theme for the show is, “Clueless,” and it will feature scenes and songs full of mystery. The event is free and open to the public and the doors open at 7:30 p.m.

All large CAB shows star a stage band, emcees and various talented acts. The directors of this year’s edition of Freshman Follies are seniors Shelby Thompson and Zachary Hamilton. This year’s freshman emcees include Justin "Skippy" Glover, Carsten Kates, Valerie Berry, Jaxon Vancuren, Carson Horinek and Vicki Coolidge.

The acts are typically student bands that perform a popular song. This year, the acts include Jared North, Caleb Finch, Andrew and Cason, Connor and Makayla, and Caylin and Ellie.

CAB shows are extremely popular for OBU students. Freshman Follies is a freshman-led show that gives new students the opportunity to show off their talents on campus. CAB also puts on small holiday shows, with Kerr Christmas closing out the fall semester. The spring semester will kick off with Lodge of Love in February and the all-student show Spring Affair will close out the school year.
