Katherine Wolf to Bring Message of ‘Healing Hope’ to Woman’s Mission and Ministry Day Chapel March 13
March 8, 2019
Katherine Wolf will bring her message of “healing hope” to the Woman’s Mission and Ministry Day chapel service March 13 at OBU. The event will take place at 10 a.m. in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. This special chapel service is an annual event on the University’s campus in Shawnee.
After suffering from a massive brainstem stroke at the age of 26, living through a 16-hour micro-brain surgery, and having more than half of her cerebellum removed, Katherine Wolf survived against all odds. God then used that experience to lead her and her husband, Jay, to minister to others through the lessons they have learned together.
Her survival and recovery, not to mention that of her marriage and family, have been nothing short of miraculous. Katherine and Jay are in full-time ministry together through Hope Heals, leveraging their story to encourage those with broken bodies, broken brains and broken hearts. Engaging both faith-based and secular communities, they seek to bridge the gap between those disabled on the outside and those disabled on the inside with the hope that Jesus brings healing to the deepest pains we all carry.
They co-authored their first book, “Hope Heals,” published by Zondervan in April 2016. It tells their story of overwhelming loss and the overcoming love of Christ. They currently reside in Los Angeles with their two sons, James and John.
