Author and Teacher Horton Delivers Chapel Address April 18
April 18, 2018
Elicia Horton, author and teacher, delivered the chapel address at Oklahoma Baptist University Wednesday, April 18. The service took place in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium on OBU’s campus in Shawnee.
Horton used the first two chapters of Ephesians to emphasize the importance of God’s redemptive work in the life of the believer.
“Every piece of our past, present and future lies in the hands of the great potter, who beautifully takes all the broken and shattered pieces of our lives and creates a beautiful masterpiece for all to see,” she said. “You are called to be his masterpiece.”
Horton has master’s degrees in religious studies and organizational development from Calvary Theological Seminary. She travels the nation teaching and encouraging others using speech, rap and poetry. She and her husband, D.A., are the co-authors of “Enter the Ring,” a plea to fight for gospel-saturated marriages in the midst of an anti-God culture.
