Hottel to Speak at Business Forum April 2

Laura Hottel, a 1990 OBU alumna, will be the featured speaker during the University’s next Business Forum, April 2, at 10 a.m. The lecture will be held in the Tulsa Royalties Auditorium of the Bailey Business Center on OBU’s campus in Shawnee. The talk is hosted by the Paul Dickinson College of Business.

Hottel graduated from OBU with a Bachelor of Business Administration and later obtained a Master of Health Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

She is the director of network management in health care delivery for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma. She is responsible for the contracting of hospitals and behavioral health providers throughout the state of Oklahoma. As part of her position, Hottel provides communication and education services throughout the provider network.

Hottel is an active member of her community. She served for eight years on the board of directors for Good Shepherd Ministries, a medical and dental clinic serving the uninsured in downtown Oklahoma City. Hottel has also been involved with various other community activities, including the Central Oklahoma Heart Walk and the Alzheimer’s Walk.

She has two grown step-daughters, a 16-year-old son and four grandchildren. She is an avid reader and enjoys various athletic activities. She and her family reside in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
