Williams Delivers Chapel Message on Responding to the Call of Christ

Williams used 2 Chronicles 7:11-14 to emphasize the importance of worship in one’s response to Christ.

“God has been so good to us that every time we open our eyes we ought to worship Him,” he said. “We ought to ascribe some worth to Him. We worship Him because of who He is.”

Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts from Augsburg College in Minneapolis and a Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He has served as pastor of the historic Nazarene Baptist Church for more than 33 years. Prior to the pastorate, he served as a missionary with Sports Ambassadors in Asia and Africa. Williams served as an adjunct chaplain for the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and 76ers.

Williams previously served as the president of the Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania and South Jersey, and as the president of the National African American Fellowship of the Southern Baptist Convention. He is the director of community outreach at the prestigious Germantown Academy in Ft. Washington, Pennsylvania, and a founding trustee at the Community Partnership School in Philadelphia.

He and his wife, Constance, have three children: Keith Marshall Jr., Courtney Lynee’ and Chierra Lindsay.
