Space Remains for Bison Connections Luncheon Nov. 2 Featuring Kubicek

October 27, 2017

The next Oklahoma Baptist University Bison Connections luncheon is set to take place at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 2, at Jasco’s Paul K. Thompson Event Center in Oklahoma City, located at 10 E. Memorial Road. OBU alumnus Jeremie Kubicek, CEO and co-founder of GiANT Worldwide, will speak on “How to be Present and Productive…When There is Never Enough Time.” The event is free and lunch is provided but attendees must RSVP by Oct. 30 by emailing graduateinfo@okbu.edu.

Hosted by Jasco Products Company, the Bison Connections luncheon is intended to provide a platform for OBU affiliates to come together with other professionals in a networking experience. The Oklahoma Baptist University College of Graduate and Professional Studies aims to bring in speakers who will present practical workplace information on both leadership and ethics.

Kubicek graduated from OBU in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in international business. In 1995, he and his wife, the former Kelly Gobin, ’91, moved to Oklahoma City where he began working for prominent businessman Kent Humphreys. After a few years of dedication and hard work, Kubicek was promoted to vice president of marketing for Humphrey’s company. In 2002, he and his business partner Matthew Myers founded Giant Partners.

Along with being the CEO of GiANT Worldwide, Kubicek is an international speaker, author and consultant to top-level executives and leaders around the world. His first book, “Making Your Leadership Come Alive,” became a Wall Street best seller. Kubicek is the former CEO over the brands Leadercast, Catalyst and the John Maxwell training company. He is a subject matter expert on organizational leadership, emotional intelligence and interpersonal communication.

The Bison Connections luncheon is sponsored by Trilink Restoration Services and the Oklahoma Baptist University College of Graduate and Professional Studies. The event is free but an RSVP is required by Oct. 30. To RSVP or for more information, email graduateinfo@okbu.edu.
