Cyber-Security Conference Coming to Bison Hill Oct. 25

Oklahoma Baptist University and Alias Forensics, Inc., are partnering to host a cyber-security conference Oct. 25, 2017. The conference will take place from 11:30 am to 4 pm in the Geiger Center on Oklahoma Baptist University’s campus in Shawnee. Registration closes Friday, Oct. 20, at 5 p.m.
The OBU Cyber-Security Day is intended to create a place for information-security community learning, sharing and networking with other professionals and students, improving information security within businesses and learning more about the industry. Speakers and workshops will be presented throughout the day on various topics. Topics include the latest threats to cyber-security, social engineering, enterprise vulnerability management, corporate communication and business continuity planning.
The conference will host a variety of speakers from various backgrounds, including Donovan Farrow, CEO of Alias Forensics; Allan Abrams, adjunct professor of information security at OSU-OKC; Brandon Bass, information technology director for Frontier State Bank; Gary Nickerson, assistant vice president for information systems and services at OBU; Lawrence Ross, CEO of LMRoss, Inc., and IT Oklahoma; Michael Thomas, CEO of Amshot; Beau Waldrop, Communication Federal Credit Union; and Sean Satterlee, senior security architect for Symphony Talent.
Lunch will be provided upon registration, and refreshments will be provided near the end of the conference. Vendors will be set up at booths, and those who visit the vendors will be entered into prize drawings at the end of the day.
