Morris to Speak at OBU Business Forum Sept. 22

Robert Morris, a 1993 alumnus, will be the featured speaker during the University’s next Business Forum, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. His lecture will be held in the Tulsa Royalties Auditorium of the Bailey Business Center on OBU’s campus in Shawnee. The talk is hosted by the Paul Dickinson College of Business.

Morris graduated with a Bachelor of Science in management and later obtained his Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in international business from the University of Oklahoma.

Morris is an entrepreneur and business owner who is passionate about being a high-impact 
Christ follower in the global marketplace. His 24-year business career includes corporate roles in project management, sales, business development and executive administration, as well as time spent in small business ownership.

A significant part of his career includes time in various parts of the energy segment with companies such as Tower Tech, Inc., Braden Manufacturing & Global Power Equipment Group, and T.D. Williamson, Inc.  He’s had experience working in Mexico, China, India, Australia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East. Morris has lived abroad as an expat in both Russia and Singapore.

Morris leveraged his international business experience, along with his business partner, and started Energy Bridge Partners, LLC. Morris is the owner of two Home Instead Senior Care franchises in the OKC metro area that provide non-medical, private-duty senior care services to clients and their families. He is also an equity partner in the Flying J Ranch & Hunt Club near Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma.

Morris and his wife, Traci, have a 17-year-old daughter, Carington, and a 10-year-old son, Brady. He currently serves on boards for the Christian ministry “Spring Valley Ranch,” the Oklahoma Partnership for HomeCare, the advisory board of OBU’s School of Nursing and as a trustee member for Oklahoma Baptist University. They are active members of the First Baptist Church of Tulsa where Morris serves as a deacon, finance chairman and youth worker.

Morris and his family reside in Bixby, Oklahoma.
