Laura Gramling joins the faculty as assistant professor of nursing. Gramling earned her associate degree in nursing at Oklahoma City Community College, before going on to receive both a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Before joining the OBU faculty, Gramling served as a family nurse practitioner for the Oklahoma Heart Hospital and as an adjunct instructor for the College of Continuing Education at the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Lepaine McHenry, dean of the College of Nursing, looks forward to seeing the impact Gramling will make on the College.
“We are excited to have Ms. Gramling join our nursing faculty,” McHenry said. “Her expertise as an advanced practice nurse will be key to future growth opportunities for the college and community.”
Joan Klerekoper joins the faculty as assistant professor of nursing. Klerekoper earned her BSN from Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. She later earned her MSN from the University of Texas at Arlington. Most recently, she served as a registered nurse in the stroke and intermediate care unit of Christus Good Shephard Medical Center in Longview, Texas.
Dr. McHenry is pleased to welcome Klerekoper to the faculty of the College of Nursing.
“She has a passion and love for education that will greatly benefit our students,” McHenry said. “Her heart for the Lord is the foremost attribute that will help spur the College forward.”
