Rhone Speaks During OBU Chapel Nov. 16

Pastor Anthony Rhone delivered the chapel message at Oklahoma Baptist University Nov. 16. Rhone is the pastor of Galilee Baptist Church in Shawnee.
He attended John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City and graduated in 1982. Later he attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business with an emphasis in management information systems. He also earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from American Bible College and Seminary.
Rhone was brought up in a single parent home by his mother, and he credits his late grandmother Willie Woody with having a major spiritual influence in his life. At the age of 13, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Rhone grew up attending the Fairview Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Reed Jr. He served as a deacon at Fairview until he received his calling to preach the gospel. He began preaching in 1996 and served Pastor Reed as assistant to the pastor until he was called to pastor Galilee in April 2006.
Rhone is married to LaShai Rhone and they have one daughter, Tonia.
