OBU Announces 2016 Harvest Court Candidates

OBU will honor outstanding seniors in the annual Harvest Court ceremony Saturday, Nov. 12, during halftime of the OBU Bison football game versus Southern Nazarene University. The game will begin at 1 p.m. The event is part of OBU’s homecoming celebration Nov. 11-12.
Senior students were nominated by their peers in six different categories: harvest king, harvest queen, best all-around male, best all-around female, most servant-like male and most servant-like female. The student body will vote on the finalists Monday, Nov. 7, immediately following Spirit Chapel. There will be a voting station set up in the GC as well as an electronic option for voting.
Finalists for harvest king include Truett Ross, communication studies major from Edmond, Oklahoma; Blake Randolph, biblical studies and philosophy major from Wichita, Kansas; and Gage Johnson, Bible major from Seminole, Oklahoma.
Harvest queen finalists include Gracie Perkins, nursing major from Colorado Springs, Colorado; Karis Johnson, pre-counseling major from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Abigail Campbell, Elementary Education from Fletcher, OK.
Finalists for best all-around male include Caleb Compton, exercise physiology major from Shawnee, Oklahoma; Cory McCalister, secondary Mathematics Education major from Midwest City, Oklahoma; and Chase Cheatwood, psychology pre-counseling major from Broken Arrow.
Candidates for best all-around female include Katie Best, worship arts major from Norman, Oklahoma; Jordan Spencer, biochemistry major from Fort Smith, Arkansas; and Lauren Ledbetter, psychology major from Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Most servant-like male finalists include Levi Phillips, sports ministry major from Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Jeff Jolly, pre-counseling major from Allen, Texas; and Houston Franklin, pastoral ministry and biblical languages major from Durant.
Finalists for most servant-like female include Emma Patton, communication studies major from Oklahoma City; Lauren Vela, family and community service major from Durant; and Beth Clark, elementary education major from Three Forks, Montana.
