Boeing Engineering Executive to Deliver Lecture at OBU Oct. 28

Boeing executive Jimmy Rollen will deliver a lecture Friday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. in Oklahoma Baptist University’s Tulsa Royalties Auditorium. The auditorium is located inside the Bailey Business Center on the OBU campus in Shawnee. The event is free and open to the public.
Rollen is the director of engineering and chief engineer for aircraft modernization and sustainment, a business division in Boeing Defense, Space and Security, headquartered in Oklahoma City. He leads a global team of engineers that provide cutting-edge modernization upgrades, engineering sustainment and heavy maintenance to a variety of military and commercial derivative products including bombers, tankers, transport and executive transport, cargo and surveillance aircraft.
Previously, he led the VC-25 program and was responsible for heavy maintenance, modifications and support including the avionics modernization of the VC-25 flight deck. He also served as the project manager leading the transition for the closure and relocation of work from Boeing’s Wichita facility, and both the transition of the C-130 avionics modernization program and the B-1 program from Boeing Long Beach. Additionally, he served as the chief engineer for the Boeing San Antonio site and for Boeing’s Cecil Field operations, located in Jacksonville, Florida. He also served as the deputy program manager, deputy site director and chief engineer for the guidance, navigation, support and repair program in Heath, Ohio.
Rollen’s experience includes engineering leadership, program management, and site operations positions on a broad range of space and defense programs, including the Ground Mobile Radio Program, Ground Based Interceptor Program, Delta Systems Engineering Systems Automation, and the Delta Program.
Rollen holds a Master of Science in both engineering and management.
