SBC President to Deliver OBU Chapel Message

Dr. Ronnie Floyd, president of the Southern Baptist Convention, will deliver the chapel message at OBU’s Potter Auditorium Wednesday, April 13, during the 10 a.m. chapel time.
Floyd has been a pastor for over 38 years. He teaches principles from the Bible that encourages and uplifts thousands of people all over the world via TV, the Internet, podcasts, radio, speaking engagements, and books.
He is the leader, founder, and host of The Summit, a weekly lunch seminar which hosts guest speakers from across the country. Each spring and fall, leaders share their insights on business; leadership; ethics; success; and life principles and values. Speakers have included John Maxwell; Former Governor Mike Huckabee; Reggie White; John Tyson; Truett Cathy; J.B. Hunt; and many others. The Summit currently reaches 500 business people weekly.
Since 1986, Floyd has served as the Senior Pastor of Cross Church, Northwest Arkansas. In his 28 years of ministry in Northwest Arkansas, the church has baptized over 17,000 people. Floyd was elected President of the Southern Baptist Convention in 2014 and re-elected for a second term in 2015.
A strategic leader in the Southern Baptist Convention for decades, Floyd continues to serve throughout the denomination he loves in keeping with his commitment to invest in others to win the world for Christ.
Floyd and his wife, Jeana, have been married for 38 years. They have two sons, Josh and Nick.
