OBU Ranked Nationally in Business Degree Affordability
March 30, 2016
College Values Online ranked OBU 27th among the most affordable competitive small colleges in the nation for a business administration degree. The top 50 most affordable schools were selected and ranked based on net price as listed by the National Center for Education Statistics.
College Values Online offers practical guidance rooted in careful research and informed by more than 20 years of experience in college selection. The site delivers school and program rankings; highlights feature articles on the college experience; and provides career information, as well as a reference section. Researchers interact with multiple data sources like College Navigator, Forbes, Kiplinger, US News & World Report, and Princeton Review.
Rankings were based on multiple criteria, including schools that offer a bachelor's degree in business administration; a maximum enrollment of 3,000 or fewer undergraduate students; a maximum admission rate of 60 percent or fewer applicants; and minimum SAT scores of 420 on critical reading and 420 on math.
Dr. David Houghton, dean of the Paul Dickinson College of Business and professor of business, is gratified but not surprised by the ranking’s validation. “Being recognized for high quality and good value is strong affirmation of our mission,” he said. “The combination allows us to attract students to our programs that will go on to achieve great things in the workplace. This type of recognition for affordability should encourage even more students to experience the life-changing education within the College of Business.”
OBU's Paul Dickinson College of Business awards bachelor's degrees in management, marketing, accounting, international business, social entrepreneurship, finance, and computer science.
Graduate degree programs include a Master of Business Administration in energy management, leadership, international business or project management.
