Pitman Delivers Focus Week Message Feb. 10
February 10, 2016
Vance Pitman, pastor and church planter of Hope Church, delivered the Focus Week chapel message at OBU Feb. 10. Focus Week is designed to strengthen relationships with God and one another.
Pitman responded to God’s call to Hope Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2000, as a church plant from First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia. As a seasoned church planter in the Western United States, and now as a national ambassador for NAMB, he speaks all over the nation to stimulate awareness that the Gospel is very needed in our own country as well as all over the world. His expositional preaching repeatedly raises the question, “How can I be more involved in the Kingdom of God?” He resides in Henderson, Nevada, with his wife Kristie. They have four children: Hannah, Caleb, Elijah and Faith.
Focus Week began Feb. 8 with a message from Chris Stull, pastor and church planter of Wellspring Church in Goodyear, Arizona. Dr. Rob Blackaby, president of Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary, will conclude the week with a message Feb. 12.
