Dr. Frank Page to Lead OBU Chapel March 2

Dr. Frank Page, president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee, will deliver the message during Oklahoma Baptist University’s chapel service March 2 at 10 a.m. The service will take place in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium.
Page has held his current position since 2010. He served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2006-08. In his current role, he oversees the convention work of more than 46,000 churches with more than 16 million members.
He previously served as vice president for the evangelization group at the North American Mission Board (NAMB), in Alpharetta, Georgia. He pastored in numerous churches over the past 34 years, serving in South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and North Carolina. He has also served as interim pastor for churches in South Carolina and Mississippi.
He was born in North Carolina and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Gardner-Webb University, before earning his M.Div. and Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has authored numerous small group materials and biblical commentaries, as well as several books, including, “Melissa: A Father’s Lessons from a Daughter’s Suicide,” “The Incredible Shrinking Church,” “The Nehemiah Factor: 16 Characteristics of a Missional Leader,” and “Trouble with the Tulip.”
He and his wife, Dayle, have three beautiful daughters and are also blessed to have four grandsons.
