Homecoming Week Activities Abound for OBU Students Nov. 2-7

Another year, another week packed with Homecoming activities. Current students have a lot to look forward to during OBU Homecoming week, Nov. 2-7.
Monday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m., take part in the Spirit Assembly in the Noble Complex. Get geared up for the week with the fight song, Bison athletes and spirit squads, and meet the 2015 Harvest Court nominees.
Monday night at 8, come check out the HOCO Bonfire on Sarkeys lawn. Gather around the fire for warmth and fellowship.
Tuesday, stop by the GC from 4-7 p.m. for Bison Bells & Buckets. Come paint some noisemakers with OBU spirit to cheer on the Bison during Saturday’s football game.
Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., vote for the Harvest Court in the downstairs GC.
Wednesday night features a glow in the dark capture the flag game. The game will begin at 9 p.m. on the Oval.
The HOCO Crawl will begin Thursday at 5 p.m. on the Oval. Come see the “Crawl Walls” created by residence halls, social clubs and other organizations. Enjoy some Bison Punch and Bison Cookies while you hang out.
On Friday, Nov. 6, the annual Harvest Court dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Mabee Suite in the Noble Complex. The event is for Harvest Court nominees as well as their families and friends and is by invitation from the nominees only. Later that night, SGA will host the Harvest Ball at 9 p.m.
Friday night at 8 p.m., the Fine Arts Musical Gala will begin in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. This year's Gala will spotlight Dennis Jernigan, '81, and Arnold Rawls, '82, accompanied by OBU's University Chorale, Voce Vera, David's Creed and the OBU-Shawnee Community Orchestra. OBU students are free with ID.
Harvest Court winners will be announced Saturday, Nov. 7, during halftime of the OBU football game. The Bison kick off against Henderson State University at 1 p.m.
Saturday night at 7 p.m., enjoy an evening of OBU alumni artists and their work during Arts on The Hill. The night will feature musical acts Judith and The Atom Ray Trio; a reading by Dr. Brent Newson, '03; culinary delights courtesy of Cuppies & Joe; a wide array of visual art pieces from alumni through the years; and pieces from OBU Professor of Art Steve Hicks.
