November 2, 2015
Guy Grimes, president of the Relationship Warehouse Counseling Ministry, will address the OBU community Wednesday, Nov. 4, during the 10 a.m. chapel service in Raley Chapel’s Potter Auditorium. He is the founder of Marriage Preparation Training Courses for Clergy/Counselors. He also served as lead pastor of Shoreline Baptist Church in Fountain Valley, California, for nine years.
He will bring a message on Hosea, keeping with this year’s chapel theme of “The Minor Prophets: Twelve Contemporary Messages from the Living Text of the Old Testament.”
Grimes currently serves as president of the Relationship Warehouse Counseling Ministry in Costa Mesa, California. He previously served at California Baptist University as the dean of spiritual life. He pastored Orangeburg Avenue Baptist Church in Modesto, California, for 7 years, where he was instrumental in expanding the community marriage policy, aimed at reducing the divorce rate.
He has appeared in various national media outlets as an advocate for the marriage movement and was a featured guest on “48 Hours.” He served as a professional consultant for two PBS documentary films, “Children and Divorce” and “Marriage in America.”
Grimes is an OBU alumnus, graduating with his bachelor’s degree in 1980. He earned a Master of Marriage and Family Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1982. He then earned a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling and Education from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1991.

Roxanna is a Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS) and holds an MA in Child Development. She co-teaches Foundations for Lasting Relationships at California Baptist University.
