Dr. Jonathan Wilson Granted Licensure

Dr. Jonathan Wilson, assistant professor of psychology/marriage and family therapy, was granted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Oklahoma on Monday, August 31. This license enables him to practice independently as a LMFT and to provide individual, marital, and family therapy services to Oklahomans and their families.
Dr. Jonathan Wilson, assistant professor of psychology/marriage and family therapy and, and Dr. Canaan Crane, associate professor if psychology/marriage and family therapy, attended the 2015 annual conference for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy in Austin, Texas from September 2-6. This conference is the largest annual gathering of marriage and family therapists in the United States. While at the conference, Dr. Wilson presented a research poster at the conference entitled, "Partner Violence among Migrant Farmworkers and Healthcare", which summarized a portion of his dissertation research. Dr. Wilson was also nominated for the annual 2015 AAMFT Dissertation Research Award, which is given by the AAMFT Research and Education Foundation to recognize scholarly achievement by recent graduates whose research study related to couples and family therapy or family therapy training.
