OBU Hosts 82 Participants at Annual Pastors School July 20-22
July 23, 2015
Oklahoma Baptist University welcomed 82 participants to its Shawnee Campus July 20-22 for the annual OBU Pastors School. The theme for the 2015 school, which provided an opportunity of ministry development for Baptist pastors, was "Do the Work of an Evangelist" based on 2 Timothy 4:5.
The school featured John Meador, senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Euless, Texas, and Ken Fentress, senior pastor of Montrose Baptist Church in Rockville, Maryland. Meador and Fentress provided practical training and encouragement for the group of pastors, charging them to return to their congregations with material to share and a renewed passion for leading their congregations.
The school also featured faculty from the Hobbs College of Theology and Ministry as well as OBU administrators, who led breakout sessions each day. Dr. Stan Norman, Dr. Bobby Kelly, Dr. Tawa Anderson and Dr. Galen Jones all led components of the event.
