OBU Invites Public to Student Recitals May 3-5

OBU's Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts and the Division of Music invite the university community and public to three upcoming student recitals.
Nathan Sanders will perform in recital Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. He is a senior church music major from Nicoma Park, Oklahoma. He will graduate Magna Cum Laude in May. He has earned spots on both the president's and dean's honor rolls and has been a member of University Chorale for four years. He serves as president of the Fellowship of Church Musicians and performed in OBU's production of "Street Scene." He is from the studio of Dr. Louima Lilite and will be assisted in recital by Dr. Keith Whitmore on piano. He will perform various selections including "Non lo diro col labbro" by Handel, "Dein Angesicht" by Schumann, "Die Forelle" by Schubert, "Polly Willis" by Arne and "Sea Fever" by Ireland.
Graeson Griffin will perform in recital Tuesday, May 5, at 5 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. He is a junior musical arts major with piano emphasis from Shawnee. He is from the studio of Dr. Michael Dean and will be assisted in recital by Sadie Elliott on piano. He will perform various selections including "Estampes" by Debussy, "Variations on a Theme by Count Waldstein" by Beethoven and "Reverie (Villa D'Este) Op. 3" by Joel.
Amanda Merrick will perform in senior vocal recital Tuesday, May 5, at 8:30 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. She is from the studio of Dr. Mark McQuade and will be assisted in recital by Dr. Keith Whitmore on piano. She will perform numerous pieces including "Liebst du um Schonheit" by Schumann, "Nachtwanderer" by Hensel, "La seduzione" by Verdi, excerpts from "Do You Sing, Mr. Twain?" by Myers and "Always a Bridesmaid" by Roberts.
