OBU Invites Public to Student Recitals April 20-26

OBU Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts and the Division of Music invite the university community and public to upcoming student and faculty recitals.
Sadie Elliot will perform in recital April 20 at 7 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. She is a senior piano performance major from Oklahoma City. She is from the piano studio of Dr. Michael Dean and the composition studio of Dr. Jim Vernon. She will be assisted in recital by Graeson Griffin on piano. She will perform numerous works including "Granada" by Lecuona, "Variations on a Theme by Count Waldstein" by Beethoven, "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 in C-sharp Minor" by Liszt and an original work she composed titled "Polaris."
Bailee Rogers will perform in recital April 25 at 7 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. She is a senior vocal performance major from Bixby, Oklahoma. She recently performed the lead role of Susannah Polk in OBU's opera production of "Susannah" by Carlisle Floyd. She has also performed in many other productions and scenes on campus and appeared this semester as a soloist in a student composition recital. She is from the studio of Dr. Mark McQuade and will be assisted in recital by Sandra Meyer on piano. She will perform various selections including "V'adoro, pupille" by Handel, "Ständchen" by Strauss, "Hermit Songs" by Barber and "I want magic!" from "A Streetcar Named Desire" by Previn.
MaryKathryn Daugherty will perform in vocal recital April 26 at 6 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium. She is a junior music education major from Binger, Oklahoma. She is from the studio of Dr. Louima Lilite and will be assisted in recital by Dr. Keith Whitmore on piano. She will perform a variety of works, including "Il fervido desiderio" by Bellini, "Canzonetta spagnuola" by Rossini, "Der stürmische Morgen" by Schubert, "No. 3 Air" by Saint-Saëns and "En Sourdine" by Debussy.
