Kirkland Delivers Message to Chapel Feb. 18

Dr. Henry Kirkland delivered the chapel message at OBU Wednesday, Feb. 18. He was introduced by longtime friend Dr. Wade McCoy, who authored Kirkland's biography, "A Rainbow in the Dark." Kirkland detailed his struggle against prejudice growing up in the 1940's in rural southeastern Oklahoma. He demonstrated how God blessed his life through the kindness of one man, who gave him a job as a teenager in the local drug store despite the ripple effects within the community.
