OBU Hosts Area Fifth Graders for Interactive Children's Museum
November 21, 2014
OBU teacher education students hosted OBU's biannual interactive children's museum Nov. 21 on the OBU campus in Shawnee. This semester's edition was titled "Birth of a Nation: A Historical Study from Early Settlers to Post Revolutionary War." Fifth graders from Jefferson Elementary in Shawnee were guests for the event.
This was the 31st interactive children's museum held at OBU. At the event, students learn through activities created by OBU teacher education majors. The popular event was created by elementary education majors in the "Methods of Teaching Social Studies" class taught by Dr. Jeanne Akin, Mary A. White associate professor of education.
