OBU Announces 2014 Harvest Court Winners

OBU announced winners of the 2014 Harvest Court Saturday, Nov. 8, during halftime of the OBU Bison football game versus Bacone College. The event was part of OBU's homecoming celebration happening on campus throughout the weekend.

Harvest court honors outstanding seniors who were nominated by their peers in six different categories: harvest king, harvest queen, best all-around man, best all-around woman, most servant-like man and most servant-like woman. The student body voted Monday, Nov. 3, to select winners in each category.
The 2014 Harvest Queen is Hannah Burnett, a family and community service major from Richardson, Texas. The 2014 Harvest King is Sammy Andrews, a musical arts major with a voice emphasis from Checotah, Oklahoma.
The 2014 Best All-Around Woman is Karleigh Schrick, a communications studies major from Montrose, Colorado. The 2014 Best All-Around Man is Cullen Swearingen, an anthropology and Bible major from Topeka, Kansas.
The 2014 Most Servant-Like Woman is Katlin Medlin a nursing major from Olathe, Kansas. The 2014 Most Servant-Like Man is Zach Cramer, a Bible major from Topeka, Kansas.
OBU has a long standing tradition of crowning of the Harvest Queen, with the first queen being crowned in 1920. The tradition of crowning a Harvest King was added in 1996, along with the categories of Most Servant-Like Man and Woman and Best All-Around Man and Woman.
Finalists for Harvest Queen included Burnett; Chelsea Abinah, a pre-counseling major from Edmond, Oklahoma; and Emily Elkins, an elementary education major from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Finalists for Harvest King included Andrews; Parker Hunt, an English major from Cypress, Texas; and Cody Moser, a biblical languages and student ministry major from Noble, Oklahoma.
The finalists for Best All-Around Woman included Schrick; Mary Criner, a marketing major from Haskell, Oklahoma; Lexi Masters, a psychology major from Carbondale, Kansas; and Allie Preston, a biology major from Abilene, Texas.
The finalists for Best All-Around Man included Swearingen; Micah Keeney, a Bible major from Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and Keaton Nye, a digital media arts major from Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Seniors named as finalists for Most Servant-Like Woman included Medlin; Hannah Johnson, a nursing major from Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and Katy Wells, a family and community service major from Paoli, Oklahoma.
Seniors named as finalists for Most Servant-Like Man included Cramer; Khalil Benalioulhaj, an international business major from Norman, Oklahoma; and Jordan Davis, a Bible and philosophy double major from Oklahoma City.
