Francis to Share Record Setting Entrepreneurship Tips at Business Forum Nov. 21

Katie Francis, a 12-year-old record-setting girl scout from Oklahoma City, will deliver OBU's Business Forum Lecture Friday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. She holds the national record in Girl Scout cookie sales, having sold 21,477 boxes during the 2014 cookie season. The event will be held in the Tulsa Royalties Auditorium in Bailey Business Center on the OBU campus in Shawnee. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Francis has received national publicity for her remarkable success, being interviewed on programs such as "Fox & Friends" on the Fox News Channel. She is a young entrepreneur and understands the importance of setting goals to accomplish her dreams. Her story of drive and determination is remarkable and offers valuable lessons for all entrepreneurs and business owners.
Francis is a straight "A" student and was recently inducted in the National Junior Honor Society at Hefner Middle School in Oklahoma City. She studies piano, voice and flute, and she loves to perform both at school and at church. She is in her school band, choir and drama club. She has performed with Upstage Theatre in Edmond during the last two summer seasons. She studies five forms of dance, including jazz, tap, ballet, pointe and Irish dance.
She sets high goals in all areas of her life and has been accepted into the COCDA Honor Choir, Circle the State with Song Honor Choir, All-State Children's Chorus, Dove Dance Liturgical Company and the CODA All-Region Honor Band.
