Fall Challenge Chapel Services Kick Off Semester

OBU will host the annual Fall Challenge Chapel series Aug. 20-22. Services will be hosted in Raley Chapel's Potter Auditorium, Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. as well as Friday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m.
The first chapel messages of the semester, traditionally known as the "Fall Challenge," are a part of OBU's Welcome Week, where students are welcomed and oriented to life on the OBU campus. Brandon Guindon will serve as the speaker for Fall Challenge while OBU almnus Matt Roberson will lead worship.

Guindon serves at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, as the Spiritual Formation and Global Leadership Pastor. Prior to that position he served as the Executive Pastor at Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho. He has taught and trained leaders for 15 years, from both local and global churches. He has co-authored numerous publications on biblical discipleship, including the "Real Life Discipleship Training Manual." He is passionate about helping the church worldwide become healthy and effective in making disciples of Jesus Christ. He holds an M.A. in Church Leadership from Hope International University.
Matt Roberson, a 2000 OBU alumnus, will lead worship for the services. He serves with Guindon on the staff of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He joined the team in January 2011, then assumed his current role as the campus pastor of a satellite campus in May 2013. He is a gifted worship leader and communicator, but his passion for leadership comes first. He has the heart of a shepherd, with a discerning spirit, and a true love for people.
