OBU Hosts Area Fifth Graders for Interactive Children's Museum
April 15, 2014
OBU teacher education students hosted an interactive children's museum on April 10 on the OBU campus. This semester's edition was titled "The Sensational Sixties: A Decade Study With a Focus on Activism." Fifth graders from North Rock Creek Elementary school in Shawnee attended the event.
This was the 30th interactive children's museum held at OBU. At the event, students learn through activities created by OBU teacher education majors. The popular event was created by elementary education majors in the "Methods of Teaching Social Studies" class taught by Dr. Jeanne Akin, Mary A. White associate professor of education.
