Knight to Perform Senior Recital April 13

OBU student Joy Knight will perform her senior recital Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium on the OBU campus. The community is invited to attend the free event.
Knight is a vocal performance and English double major from Richland Hills, Texas. The daughter of Lee and Geneva Knight, she is from the studio of Dr. Louima Lilite, assistant professor of music. During the performance, Knight will be assisted by Mr. Davis Dorrough, staff accompanist on piano, and Dr. Louima Lilite.
The recital will include works by Brahms, Handel, Mozart, Duparc, Rachmaninoff, Verdi and Previn.
Knight is a member of the University Chorale and Bisonette Glee Club. She has served as both librarian and chaplain for the Bisonettes, writing assistant and tutor for the Milburn Student Success Center, assistant features editor for The Bison campus newspaper, and music theory lab monitor. She has been named to the President's Honor Roll and Dean's Honor Roll.
During her time on Bison Hill, Knight has performed as a soloist with the Bisonettes Women's Glee Club; David's Creed Praise Ensemble; Vocal Honors Academy Recital; President's Council Dinner; and the 2013 Concerto-Aria Concert. Knight has also performed as Narrator in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"; Sister Amnesia in "Nunsense"; member of the Female Chorus in "the Rape of Lucretia"; Emily in "fortune's Favorites"; and chorus member in Lerner and Lowe's "Brigadoon."
Following graduation, she plans to pursue graduate music studies.
