Garcia to Perform Senior Recital April 3

OBU student Morganne Garcia will perform her senior recital Thursday, April 3, at 7 p.m. in Raley Chapel's Yarborough Auditorium on the OBU campus. The community is invited to attend.
Garcia is a music education major from Rogers, Ark. The daughter of Patricia Holiday and Alberto Garcia, she is from the studio of Dr. Kevin Pruiett, assistant professor of music. During the performance, Garcia will be assisted by Dr. Ron Lewis, staff accompanist on piano, and Pruiett, staff accompanist on trumpet.
The recital will include works by Neruda, Vivaldi, Honegger, Stevens and Copland.
Garcia has been named to the President's Honor Roll, Dean's Honor Roll and Who's Who Among American College Students. She is a member of the Bison Jazz Orchestra; Symphonic Winds; Trumpet Ensemble; International Trumpet Guild; Mortar Board; president of Kappa Kappa Psi; and secretary of OBU's chapter of the National Association for Music Education.
During her time on Bison Hill, Garcia has appeared as a Concerto Aria 2013 soloist and played Tot in "Street Scenes." Upon graduation, Garcia plans to teach in higher education.
