Graduate School Names Francka as Director

OBU has named Shelly Francka as director of the OBU Graduate School in Oklahoma City. Francka began her new role on Monday, June 17.
Francka comes to OBU from Huntington University in Huntington, Ind., where she had served as director of professional programs since 2011. She previously worked as director of the master of business administration degree program and an adjunct instructor at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo.
She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southwest Baptist University in 2004, and an MBA from the university in 2006. She currently is pursuing a Ph.D. in business administration and organizational leadership from Northcentral University in Prescott Valley, Ariz., which she anticipates completing in May 2014.
"We are pleased to welcome Shelly as director of the OBU Graduate School," said Dr. Stan Norman, provost and executive vice president for campus life. "Her experience directing collegiate professional programs -- and, specifically, her experience related to MBA programs in a Christian university setting -- will serve the Graduate School well as we seek to improve and expand the degree programs to better serve each student."
Francka is a member of the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs; the Christian Business Faculty Association; and Delta Mu Delta, a national honor society in business administration.
The OBU Graduate School is located at 3800 N. May in Oklahoma City and offers three graduate degrees in six areas of study: The master of business administration degree with an emphasis in international business, energy management or general business management (online); the master of science in nursing degree with and emphasis in nursing education or global nursing; and the master of science in marriage and family therapy.
