Knight to Perform Junior Recital March 14

OBU student Joy Knight will perform her junior recital Thursday, March 14, at 8:30 p.m. in Yarborough Auditorium in Raley Chapel on the OBU campus. The community is invited to attend.
Knight is a vocal performance and English double major from North Richland Hills, Texas. The daughter of Lee and Geneva Knight, she is from the studio of Dr. Louima Lilite, assistant professor of music. During the performance, Knight will be assisted by Dr. Keith Whitmore, staff accompanist, on piano.
The recital will include works by Strauss, Bizet, Poulenc, Santoliquido and Walton, performed by Knight.
She is a member of OBU's University Chorale and Bisonette Glee Club. She has served as a writing assistant and tutor for the Milburn Student Success Center, assistant features editor for The Bison campus newspaper, and music theory lab monitor. She has been named to the President's Honor Roll and Dean's Honor Roll.
During her time on Bison Hill, Knight was selected as a performer in the 2013 Concerto-Aria Concert. She has performed as Emily and a chorus member in Lerner and Lowe's "Brigadoon." Following graduation, she plans to pursue graduate music studies.
The audience is cordially invited to a reception in Raley Chapel Room 142 following the recital.
