Hernandez Art Show Open in Art Building
November 19, 2012
Art has been a lifelong passion for Oklahoma Baptist University senior Christina Hernandez.
"I cannot remember a time that I did not enjoy art," Hernandez said. "From the time I was able to hold a crayon, I have attempted to make unique works of art. My inspiration for creating art comes from everyday experiences."
Hernandez, a graphic design major from Shawnee, Okla., is displaying her art pieces in a show Nov. 17 to Nov. 29 in the OBU Art Building, located in the southeast corner of OBU's campus. On Saturday, Nov. 17, Hernandez hosted an opening reception for her show.
She plans to graduate with a bachelor's degree from OBU in December 2013. Though she is not certain about what career she will pursue, she is optimistic her time spent at OBU will be beneficial in her future.
"I am exploring my options based on my education," Hernandez said. "The art skills I have learned at OBU will provide opportunities to work in industry, freelance and churches. I will use my art skills wherever God leads me."
