"Praying Through the Psalms" will be from 6:30-9 p.m. on Sept. 14, and 9 a.m.-noon on Sept. 15 in the upper Geiger Center on the OBU campus. There is no cost to attend the event.
"Don Whitney is a gifted communicator guiding his audience, students and readers with inspiration needed to successfully move forward in renewed power discovered by praying through Scripture," said Dale Griffin, dean of spiritual life at OBU.
Whitney is the professor of biblical spirituality at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He earned a bachelor's degree at Arkansas State University; a master of divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; and a doctor of ministry degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
