New Employees Join Bison Hill Staff

OBU recently welcomed six new staff members across the campus, including new employees in Information Systems and Services, Audio/Visual Services, Admissions and the College of Theology and Ministry, as well as a transition in the Division of Kinesiology and Leisure Studies.

Ronda Brady is the new staff assistant for Information Systems and Services. She earned an associate's degree from Seminole State College and a diploma in travel and tourism from Draughons School of Business. She previously worked as a computer teacher, yearbook producer and teacher assistant at Tecumseh (Okla.) Public Schools. She also is property manager for Brady Rentals in Tecumseh.
Rhonda Gardner is the new receptionist and visit coordinator for OBU Admissions. A graduate of Shawnee High School, she most recently worked as the principal's secretary and registrar at Meeker (Okla.) Public Schools. She previously worked at the Wolverine Employees Credit Union as branch manager, and she worked at First Federal Savings and Loan as a mortgage loan officer. A resident of Meeker for 18 years, she attends Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.
Stephen Law joined the staff as audio/visual assistant on Aug. 27. Law is pursuing a bachelor's degree in strategic communication at OBU. He ministers through music at First Baptist Church in Seminole, Okla., where he is a member of the Praise Team. He previously was part of the music ministry at First Baptist Church in Prague, Okla. He has worked with S&H Horse Training in Prague and at Lowe's Home Improvement in Shawnee.

Linsey Mastin, who has worked as part-time administrative assistant for the National Sports and Recreation Ministry Center since fall 2010, now also serves as the secretary for the Division of Kinesiology and Leisure Studies. A native of Shawnee, she earned a bachelor's degree from OBU in 2009.
Michelle McClellan recently joined the Hobbs College of Theology and Ministry as the secretary for the Joe L. Ingram School of Christian Studies. She attended Oklahoma Christian University and Montgomery College. She previously worked at Finley & Cook in Shawnee and served as a substitute teacher for Tecumseh Public Schools.
Katie Norris serves as admissions counselor for prospective students from Southeastern Oklahoma and the Northeastern United States, including Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. A 2012 graduate of OBU, she served as co-chairperson for OBU's Student Success Center during her time as a student. During 2011, she studied abroad at the Goethe-Institut in Dresden, Germany. Named to Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities, Norris is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and Alpha Mu Gamma Honor Society.
